PV Trackers Seek Their Place in the Sun

The use of tracking technology allowing solar modules to follow the course of the sun (and so optimise the incident angle of sunlight on their surface) can increase electricity production by around a third, and some claim by as much as 45% in some regions, compared with modules at a fixed angle.

The Carbon-Constrained World: Companies Ignore It At Their Risk

When U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham last year declared that "cap-and-trade is dead" in the wake of the failed federal climate change legislation that would have capped carbon emissions, many companies ? both large and small ? perhaps shelved their carbon reduction programs. Batteries for Energy Storage: New Developments Promise Grid Flexibility and Stability

Balancing power supply and demand is always a complex process. When large volumes of renewables such as solar PV, wind and tidal energy, which can change abruptly with weather conditions, are integrated into the grid, this balancing process becomes even more difficult.
